."she's such a slut" - says who?.

i dont know if every girl does this, but when you look into your past school year book, you're somehow able to point out certain girls with whom you'd attach this comment to -

"she was a bitch/slut (back then)."

it got me thinking, what exactly is it that makes a girl a bitch or slut back in those days?

upon posting that question to some of my girls, i concluded that everyone has a different reason. and here are some that came up -

1. she was a bitch because of the way she snobbishly stared down at people.
2. she was a slut because she was always throwing herself at guys.
3. she was a slut because she had gone through so many different boyfriends throughout her years in school.
4. she was a bitch because she snagged someone else's guy.
5. she was a slut because she was having sex or doing sexual things at that age (teen years).
6. she was a bitch because she spreads lots of gossip about others.
7. she was a slut because she always wore her skirt too short.
8. she was a bitch because she's always speaking her mind without caring about other's feelings.
9. she was a bitch because my best friend says so.
10. she was a bitch because she hooked up with the guy she knew i liked.
11. she was a slut because everyone knows she cheated on her boyfriend!

... and the reasons continue.

*hmm*

personally... i think its safe to conclude that, no matter what you do or how u act or who you are, like it or not, you're a bitch/slut to somebody - as per their personal definition of those words.

so, my rule (for myself) is to:
make an effort to be nice/good/respectful (in my definition) to others and myself, closest to the social norms/standards of my community; and if thats still not enough for some people, meh. i can't please everyone now, can i?

DISCLAIMER: i wasn't referring to anyone or even myself when i opened that discussion about bitches or sluts in school. :) - although others may beg to differ. :P

.ohhhh how i hateee petty arguments!.

don't u hate it when you argue with your boyfriend and then receive an sms, but then realize it ISN'T from him?!

don't u hate it when you try to make peace with him but things end up worst than you initially left it?!

don't u hate it when you have to go to bed angry at him?

... and further angry/annoyed/disappointed because you know that you can't possibly make peace with him before bed without having to suppress your true feelings about the argument?

don't you hate it when you realize things could've gone differently if you both just calmed down a little bit more and reacted or handled things better?

don't you hate it when a petty issue escalates into a blog-worthy argument, AND ruins the good day you both had together?

don't you hate it when a good day ends badly?

I DO!!! :(

.puffy eyes mystery.

been waking up with puffy eyes lately. the kind i get when i cry myself to sleep at night. my post crying eyes. but no, i havent been crying to bed. not consciously anyway.

so why the puffiness?

whether 5 hours or 8 hours or 10 hours, my eyes still starts puffy in the morning!! it never use to be like that! :( is this a sign of aging? inner/subconscious depression? unconscious sleep-crying? hormones? WHAT?!

ON A DIFFERENT NOTE...

sheena graduated today! congratz!! so happy for her and her family!! woOhoOo!! :) [AND as always... 101082101 millions photos of the day will be posted on FB soon]

.desperately finding inner peace.

here's a question. [one i've probably already asked before in the past]

OH hell, tell me again;-

if someone says something about you or something related to you that you do not agree about, does trying to explain and/or stick up for yourself make you "defensive"?

... and what if you do not voice your unhappiness about the comment, then feel terribly shitty for having to cop it? teach me please, how do you deal with the bottled up verbal vomit?

GAH! im going to bed even more disappointed than before. talk about piling more shit on top of existing shit.

.lost... & found.

ever had this happen to you?

at my staff meeting last week, i thought i lost my scarf. i only realized 3 hours later when i had to rush off to a staff training. rushing and panicking, i ran to the coffee shop [where we had the meeting] and spoke to one of the staffs.

"i was here earlier, at that table. i think i dropped my scarf?"

"oh? wait a sec, i'll go check at the back."

so he did.

now here's the twist. while he was at the back, looking, i rummaged through my handbag and somehowwww... found my scarf balled up in there. [damn big handbags!] but yea, it was there! it was bloody there! *a bitter sweet reunion indeed!*

SOOoo anywayyyy... when the poor dude came back, he told me apologetically "sorry, it appears no one has found it..."

i bit my lower lip. *to confess or not to confess?* GAH!

he then turned to his colleague and asked "did you see a scarf around?"

*shit shit shit... more people was getting involved!*

"oh.. did you ask the back..?" the colleague asked, and they went on discussing...

that was when i FINALLY interjected... saying... "i must've dropped it somewhere else. thanks anyway guys. i'll just keep looking." and i fled.

a cowardly act, i know...

... BUT WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE?!

.happily never after?.

watch this movie when you're in your mid to late twenties. when you're thinking about marriage and commitment. when you think you're ready for marriage and all you see are rosy beds leading you into your awesome future with your one and only. ok, maybe dont watch this movie.

see, i dont know if this is reality... but it sure as hell makes your head (mine) spin. i know i knowww... real life is not a hollywood movie. and relationships? c'mon... mum and dad did it, why can't we, right? *sigh* honestly? i dont know...

people are just so different nowadays. we care more about having excitement in life. we're more competitive and greedy. more easily bored. we're harder to satisfy. easier influenced by our peers and surrounding. we're smarter with excuses and justifications of our 'wrong' actions. we just want all we think we deserve.

and ok ok, maybe not YOU. but, what about that person you chose to spend the rest of your life with? you may be sure that you won't. that you're satisfied. but how about them? how can you be sure he/she feels the same? that they're equally committed? that their head is as straight as yours?

that's right. you don't know.

good luck.

.cheating in your dream.

so... this week has flown by, like all the rest. again, i got nothing i wanted to get done in terms of job seeking. whats wrong with me? feels like its going beyond simple laziness...

i need to spark that ambitious fire in me again. cant loose my focus. tips, anyone?

anywayz, i had a sudden thought about this:

Is there such thing as 'Dream Cheating'?

#1. is dreaming about being intimate with another guy/girl [when you have a bf/gf] considered cheating?
#2. if no to #1, does waking up and feeling great about the dream make it cheating?
#3. if no to #2, does constantly replaying the dream in your head [because it really did feel great] make it cheating?

and okay... obviously trying to LIVE THE DREAM IS cheating. BUT...

#4. if the guy/girl you dream about is an out-of-reach celebrity, does it mean doing #1-3 is definitely NOT cheating?

and now, if along with all #1-3, the scenario is also #5 or #6 as below, issit cheating?

#5. if the guy/girl in your dream is someone you presently have a platonic friendship with? or;
#6. if the guy/girl is someone you're only casually acquainted with but whom you find attractive?

cheating? yes or no?

... and okay, last question:

#7. what if the guy/girl in your dream is someone you have a major crush on?... if one does all #1-3 plus the person is someone as stated in #7, is it considered cheating?

***
i know...
one hell of a chain of thoughts.
welcome inside my mind. :)
